چکیده
Abstract Introduction Liver resection offers the best curative treatment for hepatic metastases secondary to colorectal (CR) cancer. The aim of this study was compare survival outcomes between patients having liver once (OR) versus those redo-liver (RR) metastases. Methods This a retrospective done on 171 who underwent (97 had OR & 74 RR) from January 2009 2020 across East Midlands hospitals. Results Mean age in group 75 years RR 74. Male: female ratio 2:1 and 1.34:1 group. period first second around 15.4 months. Minimum follow up after surgery 3 years. Up point till Jan.2023, overall there were 58 deaths reported out total 97 group, while 39 patients. At initial resection, 58% 65%. 5 up, 40% that 45%. It also noted 67% (1/3) lymph node positive disease (≥N1). Conclusion Beneficial outcome has been with regards undergoing redo supports its role as preferred choice management recurrent metastasis.

Repeat hepatic resections for colorectal metastases.
We identified 106 patients who had undergone complete resection of isolated colorectal hepatic metastases. Nine of these patients subsequently underwent repeat liver resections for isolated hepatic recurrences. The median follow-up for these patients was 21 months. One postoperative death was related to the second hepatectomy. At the time of last follow-up, five patients were alive and free of ...
متن کاملShort time to recurrence after hepatic resection correlates with poor prognosis in colorectal hepatic metastasis.
BACKGROUND Early recurrence is a major problem after hepatic resection of colorectal hepatic metastasis (CHM). Our aim was to investigate the relationship between time to recurrence after CHM resection and overall survival. METHODS A retrospective analysis was performed for 101 consecutive patients who underwent hepatic resection for CHM and have been followed more than 5 years. RESULTS Amo...

متن کاملHepatic resection margin predicts survival in colorectal cancer with hepatic metastasis
BACKGROUNDS/AIMS Prognostic factors for colorectal cancer with hepatic metastasis are not well-established. We investigated the factors that predicted survival following surgical resection of hepatic metastases in patients with colorectal cancer. METHODS Fifty-three patients underwent resection of hepatic metastases of colorectal cancer between January 2000 and December 2005, with follow-up p...
متن کاملHepatic Metastasis from Colorectal Cancer
The liver is the most common site of metastasis in patients with colorectal cancer due to its anatomical situation regarding its portal circulation. About 14 to 18% of patients with colorectal cancer present metastasis at the first medical consultation, and 10 to 25% at the time of the resection of the primary colorectal cancer. The incidence is higher (35%) when a computed tomography (CT) scan...
